RUDOLPH A. BEDFORD, M.D.
Over
the past ten years, Dr. Bedford has become a well-known endoscopist in the West
Los Angeles medical community because of his expertise in pancreatic biliary disease.
He is a seasoned interventional endoscopist, uniquely skilled in diagnostic and
therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and endoscopic
ultrasound (EUS).
Dr. Bedford earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University
School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine in
Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency
at the New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center in New York, NY. He continued his medical training at the Cleveland
Clinic foundation, where he completed his gastroenterology fellowship program.
In 1992, Dr. Bedford was accepted to St. Luke´s Hospital Advance Fellowship
Program for therapeutic Endoscopy
Dr. Bedford’s extensive training has qualified him to hold many prestigious
professional and academic appointments. Presently, he is the President of the
Southern California Society of Gastroenterology; and in past year he has served
as the Director of Pancreatico-Biliary Services Department at UCLA. His breadth
of knowledge extends beyond academia. Evident in his position as a gastroenterology
consultant for the Los Angeles Zoo, Dr. Bedford is a scientist by nature and
has authored numerous abstracts and peer reviews. Above all professional achievements
and accolades, Dr. Bedford regards his family as his greatest reward.
