JEFFREY L. KRIEGER, M.D.
Dr.
Krieger began his medical career at the Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL
and received his medical degree in 1995. After graduation he returned to sunny
California to complete his internal medicine internship and residency at the University
of Southern California. His hard work and outstanding performance at USC won him
the Resident of the Year award in 1997. In 1998, after finishing his residency
program, he remained at USC and continued his training in gastroenterology and
hepatology at the Keck School of Medicine Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Krieger has a strong interest in liver and parcreatico-biliary diseases.
The third year of his gastroenterology training focused on advanced therapeutic
endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Prior to completing his
fellowship program in 2001. Dr. Krieger moonlighted as an emergency room physician
at the Los Angeles County Hospital. The training and experiences allotted to
him in that position further prepared him to practice medicine as a partner at
Southern California Medical Gastroenterology Group, Inc. Dr. Krieger takes pride
in his endoscopic skill and warm bedside manner.
Board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine,
Dr. Krieger is a member of several professional societies including the American
College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, and the
American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is also a member of the
Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Krieger leads very active life outside
of work, and enjoys evening strolls walking his two dogs, Maverick and Rodeo,
with his lovely wife.
